About Us

Cognomation Corporation was founded in 2001 in Troy, NY and provides custom programming services to diverse customers including those in the government, education, manufacturing, service, and retail sectors. We specialize in the maintenance and enhancement of legacy applications in addition to moving them to modern platforms (including the Web). We also customize off-the-shelf software, develop applications from scratch, and build Web sites. Our services include all phases of software development and maintence including analysis, design, implementation, testing and documentation for programs and databases.

Our core competencies include:

• C, Visual Basic, JavaScript, and COBOL
• Visual FoxPro and all previous FoxPro versions on DOS, UNIX, and Windows
• Microsoft operating systems (MS-DOS through Windows XP)
• HTML and CSS

While we are located in upstate New York, we feel that in this age of modern telecommunications, including the Internet, that this does not preclude us from effectively serving customers anywhere in the world.
